Maastricht (NL) / Heule (B) - Dutch Structuring Technologies B.V. (DST) based in Maastricht, The Netherlands and taaas BV from Heule, Belgium have inked a distributor agreement for the sales of the DST’s patented Sheartex machines.
“We’re excited to expand our partner network by signing this agreement with taaas BV”, says Julian Lekner, CEO of DST. “This collaboration enhances our regional expertise and strengthens our presence in the fast-developing market of alternative proteins.”
DST’s Sheartex is a patented continuous technology for structuring novel meat successors. By intelligently combining three process parameters the Sheartex machines produce high-quality fibres from plant-based proteins, oil and water.
Piet Deceunynck, CEO of taaas BV adds: “This partnership with DST, allows us to offer our customers in the Benelux and France a future-proof technology for transforming proteins. The Sheartex machines are a strong complement to the continuous mixing systems from Sobatech and the 3D-extrusion PowerHeater from Source Technology. These technologies are successfully used to process plant-based proteins into meat successors.”.
taaas BV focusses on supporting companies transitioning from animal-based to plant-based and alternative proteins.
